From November, foreign companies will be allowed to sell fuel in SL



The Ministry of Power and Energy is working to give the opportunity to qualified companies to import fuel, distribute fuel and sell fuel in Sri Lanka by November.
 
This information was disclosed in the recently held progress review meeting on the program to give part of the 1,250 petrol stations controlled by the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation to other private fuel suppliers.

According to the call for proposals published in the newspapers, among the 24 companies that submitted proposals, several eligible companies have been selected to import fuel, distribute fuel and sell fuel in Sri Lanka.
