The Petroleum Products Special Provisions Bill is gazetted



The Petroleum Products (Special Provisions) (Amendment) Bill is gazetted.
 
According to the Gazette, once approved, the bill will enable the relevant authorities to permit the importation of fuel to selected companies in addition to the Ceylon Petroleum Corporation and the Ceylon Indian Oil Company.

Accordingly, a selected company will be given licenses to procure fuel based on their needs.
 
The Bill was approved by the Council of Ministers on April 25 and will soon be submitted to Parliament for approval.
