Mysterious disease in Afghanistan - 21 deaths reported so far

Foreign media reports that 21 people have died from a mysterious disease that is spreading in Afghanistan.

The reports said that the deaths were reported from a mountainous region called Wakhan, which is located in the northeast of Afghanistan, bordering Tajikistan and Pakistan.

It is said that the health department has already been dispatched to the area to investigate the spread of the disease.
However, the reports add that the information received so far about the spreading disease is not enough.

Afghan health authorities have also stated that the spreading disease is similar to the Covid epidemic situation.
Meanwhile, the Taliban-controlled Bakhtar News Agency reported last week that at least 50 children have died due to respiratory diseases in Baghlan province in northe Afghanistan.
