Commonwealth Games 2022: Another player who was included in the Sri Lankan team is missing



The Commonwealth Games Security Department is alerting the Sri Lankan team about the disappearance of another Sri Lankan wrestler at the 22nd Commonwealth Games in Barham, England. 

 
The missing wrestler was scheduled to compete in his first round event of the wrestling competition on August 06 but was transferred to the Commonwealth Sports Medicine Center after testing positive for COVID-19. 
 
He was supposed to be released after he passed the second random test (Rapid Antigen), but when the Sri Lankan team management came to pick him up from the centre, the player was reported missing. 
 
Earlier it was reported that a Sri Lankan judo player and an official of the judo team also went missing. 
 
The security department of the Commonwealth Games is conducting investigations regarding the disappearance of athletes who participated in the Commonwealth Games.
