Former Deputy Minister Sarana Gunawardena, who was found guilty in four cases involving corruption charges, has been sentenced to four years in prison for each.

This was by the Colombo High Court.

It is also reported that the defendant has been sentenced to 16 years in prison with hard labor.

This decision was given by Colombo High Court Judge Mohamed Mihail.
