Foreign media reports that Chris Hipkins was swo in as the new Prime Minister of New Zealand.

It was at a ceremony held in the capital Wellington to swear in the new Prime Minister after the resignation of Prime Minister Jacinda Arde .
 
'This is the greatest privilege and responsibility of my life...I am ready to face the challenges ahead with energy and enthusiasm', Hipkins has said upon taking office.

He has been swo in as the 41st Prime Minister of New Zealand.
 
He has served as the leader of the New Zealand Labor Party since 2008 and is a Member of Parliament.
