A new circular regarding the dress of Government officers



The Ministry of Public Administration, Home Affairs, Provincial Councils and Local Gove ment has decided to issue a new circular regarding the wearing of suitable office attire for gove ment officials when coming to office.
 
Ministry Secretary Mr. Priyantha Mayadunna said that instructions have been given to prepare the relevant circular.
 
A circular has already been issued that women can wear a saree, osariya, or suitable office attire while visiting offices.

However, the Secretary of the Ministry of Public Administration points out that some people only implement the first part of the circular and have forgotten what a suitable office dress is.
 
Therefore, it has been decided to issue a new circular that suitable office attire should be allowed and it is planned to be issued soon.
