Overseas travel ban on Cabraal was extended

The foreign travel ban imposed on former central bank gove or Ajith Nivard Cabral has been further extended.

Accordingly, the Colombo Magistrate's Court today ordered to extend the relevant foreign travel ban until December 15, 2022.

The court issued this order after considering a private complaint filed by the former gove or of Southe and Central Provinces Mr. Rajith Keerthy Tennakoon.

A private complaint was filed against Mr. Ajith Nivard Cabral alleging that he misused public funds during his tenure as the Gove or of the Central Bank of Sri Lanka from 2006 to 2015.
