Sri Lankan inte ational cricketer Dhanishka Gunathilakata has been cleared of 3 out of 4 charges in the Australian case of allegedly sexually assaulting a woman at his home in the easte suburbs of Sydney.
Prosecutor Hugh Budin, for the Director of Public Prosecutions, told the court that one charge had been confirmed but the remaining three charges of involuntary sex had been withdrawn.
The 32-year-old was arrested at Sydney's CBD hotel last year and charged with four counts of involuntary sexual intercourse over the alleged incident on November 2.
