President Ranil Wickramasinghe has instructed the officials to take steps to legally resolve the problems that have arisen in the agriculture mode ization program.

For that, he had given instructions to establish an agricultural mode ization secretariat immediately.

The President mentioned that the private sector should also contribute with the guidance and technical support of the public sector.

The President also pointed out the possibility of implementing pilot projects related to the respective fields with the participation of the officials of the local gove ment institutions.

In addition, the President said that the establishment of the Agricultural Mode ization Secretariat and the progress of its work should be reported to him by July.
