The Sri Lanka Medical Association says that the number of dengue infected people reported in the past 4 months alone exceeds 30,000.

It is reported that 50% of these patients are reported from Colombo and Gampaha districts in the Weste Province.

According to its data, the number of people who have died due to dengue during that period is 15.
