Israel Forces have taken control of the Rafah crossing.
At least 12 people were killed in israel's raid on Rafah.
Before the attack, Israel announced that they would continue their military operations in Rafah in the background of Hamas agreeing to the ceasefire proposal forwarded by mediators.
The Rafah border was the only one in Gaza which not controlled by Israel and it is situated on the Egypt-Gaza border. The crossing was a significant lifeline for aid after Israel closed border crossings with Gaza.
Since 7th October 34,789 individuals have lost their lives and 78,204 people injured due to the Israel - Gaza war. Numerous people are still in captivity.
