The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that there will be occasional rain or thundershowers in the Weste , Sabaragamuwa and Southe provinces.

Some places in Ratnapura, Galle, Matara and Kalutara districts may experience heavy rain of about 75 mm.
 
There are several rainy seasons in the North-West Province.

It also said that there will be rain or thundershowers at places in Central, Uva and Easte provinces during evening or night.
 
The strong winds of around 40-45 kmh are possible.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
