The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that there will be rain or thundershowers from time to time in Weste , Sabaragamuwa and North-Weste provinces and Galle and Matara districts.

Jaffna and Anuradhapura districts may experience some rain.

In Central, Uva and Easte Provinces and in Polonnaruwa and Mulathivu Districts, scattered rain or thundershowers will occur in the evening or night.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may accompany thunderstorms.
