The Department of Meteorology has issued an announcement saying that there will be several periods of rain in the Northe , North-Central and Easte provinces.

It also said that the rest of the island will experience scattered showers or thunderstorms after 2.00 pm.

Foggy conditions may prevail in some places in the Weste , Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces in the mo ing.

People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
