Hossein Khosrow Ali Vaziri, an Iranian wrestling champion nicknamed 'Iron Sheik', has died.

It is reported that he was 81 years old when he died.

He joined the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) tou ament in America in 1973 and represented the tou ament for almost 30 years.

Additionally, in 1983, he defeated Backlund to win the World Heavyweight (WWF) Championship.

It is special that he is the only Iranian to win that championship.
