The electricity board says that the daily electricity demand has now increased to 45 gigawatt hours.
It is due to the prevailing dry weather.
However, the board said that hydropower production is decreasing.
The board points out that the daily electricity demand was between 40-42 gigawatt hours due to the rain situation in the last few days, the hydroelectricity production had exceeded 75%, and compared to this, the thermal electricity production was at a level of less than 20%.
34.46% of electricity has been produced from hydroelectric power plants established around large-scale water sources and 7.12% of electricity has been produced from hydroelectric power plants established around small water sources, and the remaining amount of electricity has been produced through renewable energy methods.
