The Department of Meteorology has issued an announcement saying that except for a few rains that may occur in the Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces, Galle and Matara districts, the rest of the island will be mainly without rain.

In the weste slopes of the central hills, in the northe , north-central and north-weste provinces and in Trincomalee, Hambantota and Monaragala districts, wind gusts of up to 50 km/h are expected from time to time.
