Sri Lanka has imported 16,000 metric tons of rice following the easing of import restrictions on December 4.
According to Additional Director General of Customs and Customs Media Spokesperson Seevali Arukgoda, the imported rice includes 6,000 metric tons of raw rice and 10,000 metric tons of Nadu rice.
The figures were recorded as of 3:30 pm today (18), reflecting the ongoing efforts to stabilize rice supply in the country.
