According to the Association of Gove ment Medical Officers, 17% of the 370 health and medical offices in Sri Lanka have been identified as dengue high risk areas.
Dr. Haritha Aluthge, secretary of the association, said that to reduce the risk of dengue, people should clean their premises so that water does not stand.
Since the beginning of this year, 35,675 dengue cases have been diagnosed.
It is stated that 5,967 cases of dengue have been reported in the past 20 days from May 1 to May 20.
Accordingly, the number of dengue cases reported daily for the past few days is between 300 and 400 cases.
