It has been decided to decriminalize vehicles that have not obtained revenue licenses for 5 years and remove them from the information system of the Motor Transport Department.

Motor Transport Commissioner General Mr. Nishantha Anuruddha said this while making a special statement.

He also said that 83 lakh vehicles are currently registered in the Motor Transport Department, but only 60 lakh have been registered through QR code.

Accordingly, Mr. Nishantha Anuruddha said that the vehicles which have not obtained revenue license for more than 5 years continuously will be found and removed from the information system through the district car inspectors.
