The Public Utilities Commission has notified about the electricity tariff revision.

Accordingly, they said that the total reduction in electricity charges is 3%.
 
The Ceylon Electricity Board has recently taken steps to revise the electricity tariff with effect from the first of July.

Below is how the electricity charges will be reduced.,
 
0 to 30 units - 26.9%
31 to 60 units - 10.8%
61 to 90 units - 7.2%
91 to 180 units - 3.4%
Above 180 units - 1.3%
Religious places and charitable institutions - 3.2%
Hotel Industry - 12.6%
