Sri Lankan athlete Aruna Darshana participated in The 2nd Belt and Road Invitational athletics championship held in China and won the gold medal in the 400m event recently.

Aruna finished the race in 45.48 seconds and took the lead from the beginning.

Aruna participated in the 200m preliminary round as well. He won the heat 16 by recording 21.23 seconds.

The finals of the 200m event will take place today (29).
