Family Sues OceanGate for $50M, Claiming Crew Knew of Impending Titan Implosion



The family of Paul-Henri Nargeolet, a renowned French explorer who died in the June 2023 Titan submersible implosion, has filed a $50 million lawsuit against OceanGate, accusing the company of gross negligence.

The suit alleges that the crew was aware of the vessel's imminent failure and experienced terror and mental anguish before the implosion. It criticizes OceanGate for not disclosing the Titan’s flaws and for its unconventional design choices.

The case targets OceanGate’s CEO, Stockton Rush, and raises broader conce s about private deep-sea exploration safety.
