The 2nd largest amount of remittances received from overseas workers in Sri Lanka's history was recorded in March.

The value of the remittances is reported to be US $693.3 million.

Accordingly, the total amount of remittances received by Sri Lanka during the first quarter of 2025 has increased to US $ 1,814.4 million.

It is reported that Sri Lanka received 1,536.1 million remittances from overseas workers in the first quarter of 2024.

The second largest amount of remittances received from overseas workers in Sri Lanka's history was received in December 2020.

That number is US $812.7 million.
