Hundreds of flights have been canceled across Germany.

This is due to a strike initiated by airport workers over wages.

This strike action, led by the trade union Verdi, began unexpectedly at Hamburg Airport yesterday (09).

Foreign media reported that it has later expanded to a nationwide strike.

Thousands of flights have been canceled throughout the day, and the travel of more than 500,000 passengers has been disrupted.
