The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that there will be occasional rain or thundershowers in the Weste , Sabaragamuwa and Southe provinces.

Some places in Galle, Matara and Kalutara districts may experience heavy rains of more than 50 mm.

It also states that there will be several rainy seasons in the North-West Province, Central, Uva, Easte provinces and will experience rain or thundershowers at some places in the evening or at night.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to minimize the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may accompany thunderstorms.
