NATO, Japan Working Toward Opening Tokyo Liaison Office



Foreign media reports that Japan is negotiating to open the first NATO liaison office in Asia.

Foreign Minister Yoshimasa Hayashi said that Russia's invasion of Ukraine has undermined the stability of world peace.

The Minister has pointed out that the invasion of Ukraine by Russia is an event beyond the borders of Europe, so the security of the Asian region should be more conce ed.

He further states that since what is happening in Easte Europe is not only limited to Easte Europe but also affects the Asian region.

Russia's invasion of Ukraine has created unrest across Europe, and Finland and Sweden have renounced their independence and joined NATO.

China's Foreign Ministry spokesperson Mao Ning said that Asia is a promising land for cooperation and a haven for peaceful development and should not be a platform for those seeking geopolitical battles.
