The Sri Lankan Election Commission has announced the final results for the Kandy District in the 2024 General Election. The National People’s Power (NPP) emerged as the leading party, capturing over 64% of the total votes in the district.

The NPP received 500,596 votes, securing the district win, while the Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB) came in second with 145,939 votes (18.83%).

Based on these results, the NPP has obtained 9 seats in Kandy District, with the SJB winning 2 seats and NDF winning 1 seat.

• National People’s Power (NPP): 500,596 votes – 9 eats
• Samagi Jana Balawegaya (SJB): 145,939 votes – 2 seats
• New Democratic Front (NDF): 50,889 votes - 1 seat
• Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP): 15,762 votes
• Sarvajana Balaya: 14,540 votes
