The Parliamentary Sectoral Oversight Committee for alleviating the impact of the economic crisis has revealed that one-third of the school students in Sri Lanka do not eat enough or no food in the mo ing.

Its chairman, Member of Parliament Gamini Valeboda mentioned that there are about 45 lakh such students among them.

He also mentioned that one fifth of the children in question are malnourished.
