Senior Superintendent of Police Advocate Nihal Talduwa says that an officer of the Sri Lanka Freedom Party's media unit has submitted a complaint to the Kurunduwatta Police.

Saying that the General Secretary of that party Mr. Dayasiri Jayasekara tried to attack him and threatened him with death.
 
The media spokesman said that this incident took place after a ceremony held on the 22nd at the Bandaranaike Inte ational Conference Hall.

The media spokesperson stated that the complaint made by a (31) resident of Galenbindunuwewa area stated that the MP tried to attack him and was prevented by the people present.
 
On the instructions of Kurunduwatta Police Station Chief Inspector Aloka Bandara Senanayake, investigations are being conducted in this regard.
