Postal trade unions have decided to go on strike on March 18, 2025.

The decision has reportedly been taken due to the failure of the authorities to resolve their long-standing issues.

The postal trade unions stated that there are a number of issues in the postal service including employee recruitment, appointments, promotions and salary increments.

They further stated that despite discussing these issues with the Postmaster General, no positive steps have been taken in this regard.
