The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that rain or thundershowers will occur in many parts of the island after 2.00 pm.

In some places of Uva, Central and Easte Provinces, about 75 mm of heavy rain may occur.

It is also mentioned that there will be rain in the mo ing in the weste and southe regions.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
