The Department of Meteorology says that there may be several periods of rain in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts today (28).

Accordingly, the department stated that rain or thundershowers may occur at a few places in the evening or night in Central, North-West, East, Uva and North-Central provinces.

The Department of Meteorology requests the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
