The Department of Meteorology says that except for a few rains that may occur in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts, the rest of the island will be mainly without rain.

In the weste slopes of Central Hills, North, North-Central, South and North-West Provinces and in Trincomalee district, gusts per 40kmh.
