The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that there will be occasional rains in the Northe , North-Central and Easte provinces.

The announcement also states that scattered rain or thundershowers will occur in other areas after around 1.00 pm.

Some places in Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central and Easte provinces may experience heavy rains of more than 75 mm.

Foggy conditions may prevail in some places in Weste , Sabaragamuwa, Central and Southe provinces in the mo ing.

People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
