The Department of Meteorology says that it will rain from time to time in the Easte , Northe and Uva provinces.

It is said that there will be several rainy seasons in the North-Central Province.

Scattered showers or thunderstorms are possible after 1.00pm.

In some places in Weste , Sabaragamuwa and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts heavy rains of around 100 mm may occur.

The department requests the people to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
