The Department of Meteorology has issued an announcement saying that there will be rain or thundershowers in many parts of the island in the afte oon or at night.

Some places in Uva, Madhyam, Sabaragamuwa and Easte Provinces may receive more than 75 mm of rain.

Galle and Matara districts may experience rain from time to time in the mo ing and some rain may occur in the coastal areas of the Weste Province.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
