Sri Lankans are advised not to travel to Israel

A request has been made to Sri Lankans living in the surrounding areas of Israel to avoid illegal entry through the Israeli border.

The Sri Lanka Foreign Employment Bureau (SLBFE) made this request due to the escalating conflict situation between Israel and Palestine.

SLBFE media spokesperson Mr. Gamini Senarath Yapa said that the security of Sri Lankans in Israel has been confirmed so far.

In addition, he mentioned that further measures will be taken to ensure the safety of Sri Lankans.

Gamini Senarath Yapa added that 32 Sri Lankans are currently in prison in Israel.

He mentioned that information is currently being obtained regarding the missing Sri Lankan Yatawara Bandara.
