President Ranil Wickremesinghe has instructed the legal departments to draft strict laws to prevent child abuse.

The President has given these instructions focusing on the continuous reports of child abuse incidents that have been reported in recent days.

Accordingly, after the drafting of the relevant laws, they are to be submitted to the Parliament and passed.
