The punishment received by the principal who fed polythene to the students
Minister of Education Susil Premajayantha says that the principal has been transferred to the Gampola Zonal Education Office with immediate effect after the incident in which several students of Rambukpitiya Maha Vidyalaya were allegedly forced to eat polythene and newspaper.
The Minister told the Parliament that an investigation has been started regarding the incident under the leadership of Pasba's Regional Director of Education.
He also mentioned that the principal was given a transfer to facilitate the ongoing investigations.
