Ambassador of the Republic of Turkey, Semih Lutfu Tergat, has met with Deputy Minister of Education and Higher Education, Dr. Madura Seneviratne.

This was at the Ministry of Education.

It is reported that discussions were held on expanding higher education opportunities for Sri Lankan students in Turkey and providing support from the Turkish gove ment to further improve school education in Sri Lanka.

Discussions were also held on the establishment of a Turkish Cultural Center in Sri Lanka to build cultural cooperation between Turkey and Sri Lanka.
