Foreign Affairs Minister Mr. Ali Sabry says that the Indian Unified Payments Interface system or UPI system will be introduced in Sri Lanka from today (12).
It is stated that this system is a digital financial payment system introduced by the National Payment Corporation of India.
An individual or a commercial organization will have the opportunity to make immediate payments through any bank registered under this.
It is further stated that this is a system that can be registered based on the mobile phone number.
