Mrs. Tania Abeysundara, President of Sri Lanka United Business Forum, says that with the revision of VAT, the price of every product will increase by 50 to 60 percent.

She said that if the gove ment wants to collect taxes from businessmen, it should support businessmen and if the gove ment tries to collect taxes only from businessmen, the problem of how to pay taxes will arise.

Mrs. Tania Abeysundara further mentions that there is a problem in selling the products of the producers in Sri Lanka to the consumers.
