The Department of Meteorology says in an announcement that there will be some light rains in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle and Matara districts.

A few places in the Easte Province may experience rain or thunder in the evening or at night.

There will be mainly rainless weather in the rest of the island.
 
People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
