Acting Inspector General of Police Mr. Deshbandu Tennakoon has instructed the police not to check vehicles in civilian clothes from now on.

Meanwhile, the Sri Lanka Police has given a compensation of one million rupees to the relatives of the lorry driver who was killed by a police officer in Narammala area.

Police stated that the Acting Inspector General of Police Mr. Deshbandu Tennakoon gave this amount at the residence of the deceased driver in Alavwa area.
