The Department of Meteorology says in a statement that there will be several rainy seasons in the Northe , Easte and North-Central provinces and in the Matale district.

It also states that there will be rain or thundershowers in a few places in Weste and Sabaragamuwa provinces and Galle, Matara, Manuwara and Nuwara Eliya districts after 2.00 pm.

People are kindly requested to take necessary measures to reduce the dangers caused by temporary strong winds and lightning that may occur with thunderstorms.
