The Department of Meteorology says that there may be scattered showers or thunderstorms in many parts of the island today (08) after 1.00 pm.

In the announcement issued by the department, it has been stated that in Central, Sabaragamuwa, Weste and Uva provinces and in Galle and Kurunegala districts, heavy rains of more than 75 mm may occur in some places.

It is said that there will be several periods of rain in the Easte Province during the mo ing.

Sabaragamuwa, Central and Uva provinces may experience foggy conditions in the mo ing.
