The State Ministry of Local Gove ment says that a new program has been started to manage the garbage in the local gove ment bodies.

State Minister Janaka Wakkumbura stated that 200 million rupees have been allocated for this purpose in this year's budget.

The State Minister also stated that many environmental crises have arisen due to the failure of some local gove ment bodies to manage waste properly.
