World Population Day named by the United Nations is today (11).
Through this, attention will be focused on the importance of population issues, including the relationship with the environment and human development.
Accordingly, two special events were reported regarding the world's population from last year to today.
The first is that the global population will officially reach eight billion in November 2022.
Second, last April, India overtook China to become the world's most populous country.
According to the United Nations Population Estimates, it has been assumed that the world population will be 9.7 billion by 2050.
Accordingly, after India and China, Nigeria is expected to become the third most populous country in the world.
In that order, the United States, Pakistan, Indonesia, Brazil, Democratic Republic of Congo, Ethiopia and Bangladesh come to the front among the countries with the highest population.
